This family movie was created along the lines of the well-known children's book "Detektiv Pinky" by Gert Prokop. Pinky is an orphaned boy who some day wants to be as successful as his hero and role model Detective Pinkerton. By chance Pinky meets the multimillionaire Jonathan Morgan, a gruff old man who owns a fast-food chain and the biggest department store in town. Pinky solves the mysterious department store break-ins for him and protects him from attempted blackmail. Thanks to Pinky, Morgan is able to start expressing human emotions that had long been swamped by his miserly and mistrustful hard shell. A close friendship develops between the two.
The score was performed by the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Enrique Ugarte in January 2001.
